What? I can find out what my body knows? YES!

I didn’t have to do it. Why did I spend more than 60 days away from home over the course of a year and a half, taking 500 hours of classes that were not required, that were well over and above the 48 hours of continuing education credits that are necessary to maintain my license to practice my chosen profession of Chiropractic care? Why did I take 15 trips to Florida, not for vacation, but to study? I did it to learn to have insight into health questions that, for nearly 30 years of practice, I have had only partial views. Each of those courses added to my wisdom, allowing me to help one or two or three more people, ten, twenty, thirty, one hundred, two hundred, three hundred and more people. And each and every one of those people are individuals who get my personal attention. I am so proud to have taken this journey to become an Advanced Graduate and Master of Nutrition Response Testing.

What does this mean for my patients and my community? It means that we can be much healthier than we are. It means that if your lab tests are normal yet you still don’t feel well, we can find out why and do something about it. It means that if you have had surgery yet are still in pain or having health trouble, there is a reason. It means that we have a way of analyzing your body so as to access its information systems.

Just like a computer has all of its knowledge and instructions inside of it, to be accessed by someone who knows how, so does your body. Your body knows everything about itself on some level. Abnormal lab tests, dysfunction and symptoms show up only after your body has been trying to adapt and correct itself until it can’t any more.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could sit down with your body’s wisdom and ask it questions? Like, “Hey Body, What’s up? Do you need something? Are you tired? Is there a reason you are so stressed?”

Well, now we can do just that. Using completely non-invasive Nutrition Response Testing, we can get your body to answer an essential series of questions that will then allow us to develop the precise Designed Clinical Nutrition program that is exactly right for your body’s healing.

I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want to be able to have this conversation with their body.

If you have a group of friends who ever talk about how they wish they felt better, could do more, sleep better, have better focus, get rid of their headaches or migraines, have fewer menopausal symptoms, be more patient, have less anxiety, let’s have a tea party. I will come and share this method with you and your friends, and if anyone is interested in a more in depth analysis, we can arrange that easily.

Heart Sound Recorder

Your Heart Eats First

The nutritional efficiency of your heart impacts every organ in your body.

The heart is the only organ that can kill you with no prior symptoms, and heart disease as the leading cause of death in America. It is extremely important to focus on improving and maintaining good heart health throughout the years.

To function optimally, it is vital that the heart has the proper nutritional balance present in the body to maintain its correct rate, rhythm, and tone.

The Heart Sound Recorder (HSR)

is a low-risk general wellness device designed to assess the heart’s nutritional status by generating graphs of heart sounds. Utilizing the heart as an indicator, the graphs can reveal nutritional deficiencies to a practitioner who has been trained to read them.

How it Works

The graphs allow practitioners to evaluate the rate, rhythm, and tone of the heart. These readings are not just specific to heart health, but they also observe autonomic nervous system imbalance and circulatory matters.

These extremely accurate signature graphs of the heart provide us with the following information:

-Whether your heart function is optimal or less than optimal

-If your body’s chemistry is balanced

-If your body’s nutritional deficiencies are causing stress on your heart

-What specific nutritional support your body requires

The Technology

By means of a uniquely designed sensor, which has been virtually unduplicated by any other technology, practitioners can use the HSR to listen to and observe the functionality of the heart. Functionality, in turn, reveals a great deal about nutritional status, and from that information, the practitioner might make nutritional, dietary and lifestyle recommendations to restore balance.

The HSR is a simple, highly effective, and non-invasive device. The sensor is placed over the four-valve areas of the heart. Once the test is complete, the practitioner can see the nutritional efficiency of the heart and systemic circulatory system. The tests can be saved and compared to track patient progress.

Immediate Results

Patients can track their own progress in real-time by observing their own graphs. The HSR helps confirm the effectiveness of nutritional protocols and can easily identify the connection between diet, nutritional status, and lifestyle habits.

With our 14-day Heart Revitalization Program, we can create personalized supplementation programs to help improve your heart’s rate, rhythm & tone.

Greater endurance, better ability to rest & improved overall wellbeing

When proper nutrition is supplied to the body, the improvement in the heart is often reflected within minutes.

“I notice that I am less tired after 8 hours of presenting in front of groups. After being scanned with the HSR, taking the recommended supplements, and changing my diet, now I am just used to feeling great all the time!”

Preventing Seasonal Allergies

When spring begins, plants and trees release pollen into the air. Certain types of fungi also produce mold spores. If you’re allergic to any of these substances, your immune system will try to alert you to avoid them. It does this by releasing allergic (IgE) antibodies. Seasonal allergies are starting to affect more individuals each year.

Symptoms include:

  • itchy eyes
  • dark circles under the eyes
  • watery eyes
  • swollen sinuses
  • runny or stuffy nose
  • sneezing
  • scratchy throat
  • post-nasal drip
  • cough
  • itching in the mouth, ears, nose, and throat
  • Fatigue
  • Moodiness
  • sinus headache
  • facial pain
  • earache
  • anosmia (loss or diminishment of the sense of smell)

Allergies & The Liver

The liver is the major cleansing and detoxification organ of the body. It has the vital role of cleansing the blood and removing harmful toxins, chemicals and waste products from the body. When the liver is functioning optimally, it does this very well and filters out the nasties at a rapid rate in order to prevent them causing harm to the body. If you are constantly overloading your liver with toxins from the environment, the food you eat, cleaning products, pain medication, alcohol, skin products and so forth, your liver becomes overwhelmed, slows down, becomes sluggish and starts to store the toxins. This toxic load can cause the immune system to be overstimulated.

The liver is also responsible for breaking down excess histamine. If the liver is sluggish, histamine is not broken down properly and builds up in the body, awaiting its time to attack. When pollen or another allergen enters the system, both the immune system and the liver pump out histamine in response. When this happens, all the symptoms of seasonal allergies flare up. Your immune system will remember this particular allergen as an invader and will respond even quicker the next time you’re exposed to it. Your body thinks it is protecting you, but in reality, it’s forcing you to stay indoors during Spring, or to go to work with puffy eyes and a runny nose.

Helpful Tips:

  • Load up on fruit and veggies
    • Fresh fruit and vegetables are jam-packed with wonderful antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that are required by the liver to function properly. The best ones for the liver are cruciferous vegetables (like broccoli and cauliflower), onion and garlic, beetroot, capsicum, herbs, chili, citrus fruits (like lemon and lime) and berries.
  • Cut the carbs
    • Eating lots of carbohydrates can cause the liver to become fatty. Minimize the amount of rice, pasta, bread, cake, soft drink, sugar, biscuits, donuts, muffins and potato chips you are eating. Reach for lower-carb options instead.
  • Ditch the chemicals
    • Literally everything that you put on your skin or inhale, enters the blood stream and has to be filtered out by the liver. Conventional shampoos, soap, makeup, deodorant, washing up liquid, laundry detergent and air fresheners contain nasty chemicals. Swap these for chemical-free/natural options.
  • Stay hydrated
    • Water! Your liver needs water! The liver can process as many chemicals as it likes, but if your body doesn’t have enough water to flush the chemicals out through the kidneys, bowels and skin, they will sit there in the body causing damage. Aim for at least 2 liters per day.
  • Get moving
    • Move that body! When you exercise you facilitate detoxification through sweat and bowel movements. Get your body moving to keep the sweat coming and the bowel movements regular, to get rid of those nasty toxins.
  • Cleanse your body
    • People who suffer with airborne allergies usually have an immune system that is chronically hyper stimulated because it is dealing with internal toxicity. Having excess bad bacteria in the gut, and having a leaky gut means excess wastes will get into the bloodstream and travel to the liver. The liver will then not be able to cleanse and detoxify the bloodstream adequately. This means allergens we are all exposed to in the air we breathe won’t be cleared adequately.

Advanced Allergy Therapeutics

Advanced Allergy Therapeutics, or AAT, offers a unique and highly effective approach for the treatment of the many symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities. AAT is a precision-based treatment that addresses the organ systems that are involved in an overreaction. AAT does not treat the immune system. The therapy instead focuses on the relationship between symptoms and organ systems in order to produce rapid, long-term results.

Common Symptoms Relieved with AAT:

Digestive System: reflux, heartburn, abdominal and intestinal pain, cramping, gas, bloating, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting

•Respiratory System: sneezing, congestion, runny nose, wheezing, shortness of breath, coughs, post nasal drip, skin conditions, rashes and itch watery eyes

•Multiple Systems: headaches, irritability, hyperactivity, mood swings, tiredness, fatigue and inflammation

•Skin: scaly, red, itchy skin, rashes, blisters with oozing and crusting, dry leathery skin areas, hives, plants, contactants and chemicals

•Headaches & Migraines: chocolate and caffeine, airborne irritants such as pollens, chemicals including household cleaners, perfumes and vehicle fumes

•Chemical and Occupational Sensitivities: household cleaners, chemicals, perfumes, detergents, latex, petrol and building materials such as pains, glues, carpets, woods and varnishes

By treating the organ systems related to a reaction to an offending substance, the symptoms stemming from those organ systems are directly affected. In most cases symptoms are reduced significantly within the first 1-3 treatments. AAT is non-invasive and does not require needles, herbal remedies or supplements.

Some examples of organ dysfunction include:

•Intestines: gas, bloating, pain, diarrhea

•Lungs: cough, sneezing, congestion, wheezing

•Stomach: cramping, bloating, nausea, heartburn

•Heart: tachycardia, elevated blood pressure

•Kidneys: fatigue, tiredness

•Liver: stress, mood swings, irritability

•Skin: red, itchy or scaly skin, rashes, hives

Sensitivities AAT can help treat:

•Fruits

•Vegetables

•Environmental Agents

•Animals

•Latex

•Soaps

•Dust

•Molds

•Pollens

•Grass

•Chemicals

•Metals

5 + 1 Reasons You’re Not Feeling Well

There are many different factors that can affect one’s health. When these underlying stressors go unaddressed, healing cannot take place.

Here are the main reasons you are not feeling well:

  1. Immune Challenges
    • Viral – A viral disease (or viral infection, or infectious disease) occurs when an organism’s body is invaded by pathogenic viruses, and infectious virus particles (virions) attach to and enter susceptible cells.
      • Flu
      • Cold
      • Warts
    • Bacterial
      • Strep throat
      • Staph infections
    • GMOs – A GMO, or genetically modified organism, is a plant, animal, microorganism or another organism whose genetic makeup has been modified in a laboratory using genetic engineering technology. This creates combinations of plant, animal, bacterial and virus genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods.
    • Parasites – Parasites are organisms that live in and feed off a living host. There are a variety of parasitic worms that can take up residence in humans. Symptoms of an intestinal parasite infection may mimic symptoms one would see with digestion, skin or any number of other issues.
      • Tapeworm – Usually due to drinking water contaminated with tapeworm eggs or larvae. Raw or undercooked meat is another way tapeworms can find their way into people.
      • Flukes – You can get them when you drink contaminated water among other things.
      • Hookworms – The most common way to make contact with this type of roundworm is to walk barefoot on soil infested with hookworm larvae.
      • Trichinosis worms – The most common way humans get trichinosis is by eating undercooked meat that contains the larvae.
    • Fungus – These types of skin infections are caused by a fungus and are most likely to develop in damp areas of the body, such as the feet or armpit. They can also be found in the digestive tract.
      • Athletes foot – Contagious fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet. It can also spread to the toenails and the hands.
      • Ringworm – “Ringworm” is a misnomer, since a fungus, not a worm, causes the infection. The lesion caused by this infection resembles a worm in the shape of a ring.
      • Oral thrush – It’s normal for a small amount of C. Albicans to live in your mouth, without causing harm. When your immune system is working properly, beneficial bacteria in your body help keep C. Albicans under control. But if your immune system is compromised or the balance of microorganisms in your body is disrupted, the fungus can grow out of control. You may develop an overgrowth of C. Albicans that causes oral thrush if you take certain medications that reduce the number of friendly microorganisms in your body, such as antibiotics.
  2. Chemicals
    • Formaldehyde – found in laundry & dish detergents, bath soaps, body washes, furniture, pet products, new carpets, gas stoves, hair treatments.
    • Glyphosate – found in produce, meat and packaged foods.
    • Radiation – found in natural sources like rock, soil & atmosphere. It is also found in man-made sources like medical tests & treatments, nuclear power plants, electrical products.
    • Plastics – direct toxicity, carcinogens, disrupt the endocrine system which can lead to cancers, birth defects, immune suppression and developmental problems in children.
    • Fragrances – Since there is no FDA mandate requiring companies to list their scent formulations, many chemicals can hide behind the term “fragrance.” When you see “fragrance” on a label, it can mean nearly anything, but it typically means toxic chemicals. Research by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics links the chemicals in perfume to short term memory loss, central nervous system disorders, and even severe depression due to altering the brain’s biochemistry. In fact, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has long admitted that poor air quality, poisoned by chemicals, does contribute to neurological ailments including fatigue, dizziness, migraines, and forgetfulness.
  3. Metals
    • Aluminum – Found in vaccines, antacids, dyes, baking mixes, processed cheese, deodorants, foil, cookware, shampoos, cosmetics, lotions, cans, soy products. Although aluminum-containing over the counter oral products are considered safe in healthy individuals at recommended doses, some adverse effects have been observed following long-term use in some individuals, and can possibly cause Alzheimer’s.
    • Mercury – found in vaccines, thermometers, scientific instruments, streetlights, advertising signs, fish and shellfish. It can affect cognitive thinking, memory, attention, language, fine motor skills. It can cause tremors, emotional changes, insomnia, neuromuscular changes, headaches, changes in nerve responses.
    • Arsenic – found in pesticides, wood preservatives, copper, lead alloys, glass, veterinary medicines & some rice. Long-term exposure to arsenic in drinking water can cause cancer in the skin, lungs, bladder, and kidney. It can also cause other skin changes such as thickening and pigmentation.
    • Lead – found in and around homes including paint, ceramics, pipes, plumbing, gasoline, batteries and cosmetics. Exposure to high levels of lead may cause anemia, weakness, and kidney and brain damage. Very high lead exposure can cause death. Lead can cross the placental barrier, which means pregnant women who are exposed to lead also expose their unborn child. Lead can damage a developing baby’s nervous system.
    • Uranium – found in rocks, ocean water, granite counters. Known to cause kidney damage & cancer.
  4. Foods
    • Wheat – causes gut inflammation, increases intestinal permeability, increases vulnerability to gut autoimmunity.
    • Dairy – when conventionally processed it can be linked to prostate cancer, early puberty, can cause sinus congestion, digestive problems and aggravates irritable bowel
    • Sugar – instantly inflames the entire body and weakens the immune system making you more susceptible to disease.
    • Artificial Sweeteners – Many consumers report headaches, dizziness, rashes, bloating, nausea, diarrhea, and digestive problems after ingesting artificial sweeteners. These side effects could build up over time and cause serious long term diseases with regular consumption of these processed sugars.
    • Commercial & saturated fats – increase heart disease risk, cause weight gain.
    • Allergens – if you have an allergy or sensitivity to a certain food and continue to eat it, it will cause inflammation in the body.
  5. Scars
    • Collect nerve energy and can interfere with many systems of the body.
  6. Electromagnetic radiation from cellphones and computers
    • 5G is here
    • Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage goes well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plant and animal life.

Spring Detox Guide

Toxins are EVERYWHERE

You are exposed to toxins every single day. In fact, your body produces its own toxins, or waste known as endogenous toxins, simply by functioning. Your body also encounters external (exogenous) toxins or chemicals made outside of your body. They are in the air you breathe, the food you eat, the water you drink, and the products you touch. Exposure to these toxins can overburden your system’s natural ability to detoxify.

Toxins can contribute to:

  • Fatigue or difficulty sleeping
  • Indigestion and other temporary gastrointestinal upset
  • Food cravings and weight gain
  • Reduced mental clarity
  • Low libido
  • Skin issues
  • Joint discomfort

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.

The typical American diet favors processed foods that are high in fat, refined sugar, and salt. Processed foods contain pesticides and artificial ingredients that contribute to toxin buildup.

  • 80K Chemicals (many which have not been tested for safety) in beauty & skincare products
  • 800+ Million pounds of herbicides are used per year
  • 167 industrial chemicals were found in adults with no employment-related exposure

The human body is an amazing place

Metabolic detoxification is your body’s natural process of neutralizing and eliminating toxins from your body. Our three-phase process unlocks fat-soluble toxins and converts them to a water-soluble state that is easier for your body to remove. Your body needs key nutrients and phytonutrients to support each of these phases.
